Just for a moment, I invite you to put it all down and REST. Lay down what you're holding and join a calm group to ease anxiety, worry and exhaustion. These evenings are designed to invoke deep relaxation so you can drop into good sleep and awake with renewed energy. This is a 4-part series and you're welcome to join one, two, three or the full series. This sequence is inspired by The Hakomi Method created by Ron Kurtz (1934-2011) who bridged Eastern Philosophy with Western Psychology in mindfulness. Part 1 - SPACIOUSNESS
From the very first moment we come together, all of our practices will be focused on our present moment: slowing down, coming into the body and calming the mind. The focus of this class is coming into a place of spaciousness, ease and resourcefulness. Part 2 - HEART This is the 2nd of 4 classes and focuses on the HEART. Our hearts are full of sophisticated body wisdom. We'll open this session on calming our minds and body so we can tap deeply into our heart's wisdom. With curiosity, we'll get to know our heart, ask it questions and come away with deep understanding and knowledge to move our lives into a place of love and ease. Part 3 - SOUL This is the 3rd of 4 classes and we'll focus on our Soul. When we embody our Soul (or Self, Spirit, Buddha Nature, etc) there is a great sense of calm where our bodies, spirit, and mind are ALL CONNECTED. In this place, we can deeply tune into our bodies and listen to our wisdom. There is no need to search OUTSIDE of ourselves when our wisdom lies within. When we slow down enough and pay attention, the doors open wide. Part 4 - FILLER'UP! This is the final class of the. 4-part series. The focus on this class is taking in nourishment. To my great surprise when I started studying Hakomi, I didn't realize how much I was resisting feeling good; there was so much I was leaving on the table. Through simple yet profoundly insightful practices, you have the opportunity to notice how or what you do in regards to nourishment and then practice bringing goodness further into your body. |
